Taking your ideas and our expertise to create a vision for your development, whatever the size. This stage is essential in building your brief and will set out the requirements and the constrains for the project. We work with private individuals, developers and local authorities assess the potential of new and existing sites.

We provide a fully itemised breakdown of what we do for each stage of the design and construction service.

We undertake a measured survey or, on larger projects, arrange for a survey to be carried out to ensure we have accurate information of the existing building or site.

We will work up a number of options for discussion with the client, illustrated with sketches and simple computer-generated views. We will also advise on any other professional appointments which may be needed; for example the appointment of a structural or services engineer depending on the complexity of the project. We will also mange the process of obtaining competitive quotes from other design team members.

Based on our knowledge of the construction industry and previous projects we will provide a ‘ball-park’ estimate of the project costs. For larger projects we would recommend the appointment of a professional cost consultant, which we can arrange.

Once we have agreed a design solution with the client, we will submit drawings to the Local Authority in accordance with their requirements. We will also advise on any other documentation which may be required such as an Ecology Report or Flood Risk Assessment.

We will assist in the appointment of a contractor. We will inspect the construction from time to time and will chair construction team meetings. The construction of the project will be the responsibility of the contractor, however we will administer the building contract and ensure that periodic payments are correctly certified.

With commercial experience of delivering major projects we are experienced in BIM protocols, management and coordination. We can provide your Building Information Modelling requirements for all project sizes.

We are qualified to act as Principal Designer under the CDM 2015 Regulations. The Principal Designer has responsibility for co-ordination of health and safety during the pre-construction phase and is now required by law for most construction projects.
